Want to get involved in Arts Award Week (2-10 July) but need a little inspiration? We’ve pulled together 10 of the best Arts Award Week activities happening in centres and Arts Award Supporter venues across the UK.

Take a look at our countdown and get those creative juices flowing…

10. North Lincolnshire Arts Development will be launching an Arts Award Explore Family Club during Arts Award Week.

9. More Music’s Gold Arts Award group are organising a week-long arts festival to celebrate ArtsAward10 in Lancashire.

8. Sandringham School’s annual arts festival will take place during Arts Award Week this year with activities including Silver Award leadership projects in action.

7. ARC, Stockton Arts Centre will be hosting a 'Creative Enterprise Event' for 15-19 year olds.

6. In Kidderminster, Worcestershire, ContinU Plus Academy will be holding a Creative Arts Week for Years 7, 8 and 9 who are aiming to achieve Bronze Arts Award.

5. Culture Works East are wishing Arts Award a ‘Happy 10th birthday’ as part of their Lord Mayor's Launch Pad event, a one day programme of free cultural, creative and media activities in Norwich on 2 July for 8 to 16 year olds.

4. To celebrate supporting over 10,000 Arts Awards, Tameside Council Cultural Services will be hosting an Arts Award networking event, as well as supporting a number of local schools in achieving their Arts Awards.

3. Chingford Foundation School in London plan to mark Arts Award Week with a different activity each day, including an exhibition of portfolios at all levels, a Barbican Box theatre performance on 5 July, and staging an original musical by the Arts Award Theatre Company.

2. Ever wondered: 'What's it Like to Work in a Museum?' The Wallace Collection in London will be holding a Careers Open Day for 16 to 18 year olds on Wednesday 6 July between 1-4pm. Each attendee will get an information pack with tips about CV writing, apprenticeships in the cultural sector, internships and degrees to help them pursue a career in museums.

And at number one….

1. Fermynwoods Contemporary Art are marking Arts Award Week by launching art workinto space!

Students from The CE Academy will be working with sculptor Clare Abbatt and near space photographer Chris Hillcox to design their own structures that will be launched into space.

The ‘space-crafts’ will be launched and tracked via GPS and on-board cameras will capture

images of the sculpture as it rises through the earth’s atmosphere. Students will also document the launch using video.

The experience will count towards students’ Explore and Bronze Arts Awards.
